NASA’s Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA), a Boeing 747SP aircraft equipped with an infrared telescope, on April 6 completed its first science flight using the German Receiver for Astronomy at Terahertz Frequencies, or GREAT for short.
