WASHINGTON — For the second time in a year, the Russian government has fired the manager responsible for construction of its new launch site. Dmitry Savin was fired from his post managing construction of the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia’s Far East because of delays and corruption scandals, according to the Moscow Times. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has threatened to “rip the heads off any contractors” that threaten to delay work on the site, due to be completed by the end of November.
