RS-25 delays impact Aerojet earnings

Aerojet Rocketdyne signed a $1.16 billion contract with NASA to restart production of the RS-25 engines that will be used on future launches of the Space Launch System heavy-lift rocket. The company has been building RS-25 engines since the space shuttle program.

Delays in starting production of RS-25 engines for NASA affected Aerojet Rocketdyne’s earnings in the second quarter, but the company expects to catch up on the program later this year.
