WASHINGTON — NASA’s Curiosity Mars rover passed the 10-kilometer mark in its travels April 16 en route to its next science destination, an area called Logan Pass on the lower slopes of Mount Sharp.

Curiosity passed that 10K milestone a few weeks after another NASA rover, Opportunity, completed a marathon on Mars, traveling about 42 kilometers.
