David Hershberg, the founder and longtime chief executive of satellite solutions and Earth station provider Globecomm Systems, has retired, the Hauppauge, N.Y., company announced Feb. 5.He was replaced by Keith A. Hall, who has been with Globecomm for 17 years, most recently as chief operating officer.Globecomm Systems in 2013 was acquired by private-equity firm Wasserstein & Co. in a transaction valued at $340 million. The acquisition came after a disappointing Globecomm performance for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2013.
